What we have checked

Every brand here has to clear one test before it is listed at all: the company is a UK legal entity with real activity here. That is a question about the business, and it is deliberately not the same question as where any individual product is made.

uk registered entity: Companies House record resolves, status active. This maker publishes no company number, so the record was matched on company name together with a registered office at NG10 1FU, a postcode published on https://longeatonsofas.com. Inferred by us (§3.3), not stated by the company. Source, checked 2026-08-29.
uk hq: Registered office is a UK address: Acton Road, Long Eaton, NG10 1FU. This is the registered office, which is not necessarily where the company operates. Source, checked 2026-08-29.
uk site: Stated by the company: "Our furniture is not just British made, we design and custom-make all of our furniture in our factory in Long Eaton, which has been known for generations as the centre for upholstery making in England." Source, checked 2026-09-01.
uk employment: Stated by the company: "We are proud of our highly skilled workforce, with some having served the company for over 30 years and some since the day the company started. They put their heart and soul into every piece of furniture they make and once completed, each sofa, chair, or footstool is proudly signed by the upholsterer who made it." Source, checked 2026-09-01.
uk control: No majority shareholding traced outside the UK; controlled by Mr John Campbell. Source, checked 2026-09-01.

We have only checked company registration so far. Evidence of UK employment or a UK site is the next thing we intend to gather, and until we have it we say so on every product rather than implying it.
