Dartmoor Distillery

Trading as DARTMOOR WHISKY DISTILLERY LTD, registered at Companies House number 09440491.

What we have checked

Every brand here has to clear one test before it is listed at all: the company is a UK legal entity with real activity here. That is a question about the business, and it is deliberately not the same question as where any individual product is made.

• uk registered entity: Companies House record resolves, status active. Number published by the company at https://dartmoorwhiskydistillery.co.uk. Source, checked 2026-08-29.
• uk hq: Registered office is a UK address: The Old Town Hall Town Hall Place, Newton Abbot, TQ13 9EG. This is the registered office, which is not necessarily where the company operates. Source, checked 2026-08-29.
• uk site: The company describes its own premises: "Dartmoor Whisky is truly a product of the South West, made using local ingredients wherever possible. Our barley is grown by Tim Cox at Preston Farm, just up the road from our distillery in Dartmoor." Self-declared (§3.3), read from the company's site. Source, checked 2026-08-31.

We have only checked company registration so far. Evidence of UK employment or a UK site is the next thing we intend to gather, and until we have it we say so on every product rather than implying it.
