Copeland Distillery
Trading as COPELAND SPIRITS LTD, registered at Companies House number NI635249.
What we have checked
Every brand here has to clear one test before it is listed at all: the company is a UK legal entity with real activity here. That is a question about the business, and it is deliberately not the same question as where any individual product is made.
- uk registered entity: Companies House record resolves, status active. Number published by the company at https://copelanddistillery.com. Source, checked 2026-08-29.
- uk hq: Registered office is a UK address: The Copeland Distillery, Donaghadee, BT21 0HF. This is the registered office, which is not necessarily where the company operates. Source, checked 2026-08-29.
- uk site: Stated by the company: "Located just a stone's throw from the historic Donaghadee Harbour - known in the 17th century as 'The Merchants' Quay' - our 6,500 sqft distillery revitalised the former Picture House Cinema & Ards Bottling Company." Source, checked 2026-09-01.
- uk employment: Stated by the company: "Whether you're joining us for a guided distillery tour to uncover the secrets of our craft or simply relaxing in our coffee shop to watch the distilling team in action, you are part of the Copeland story." Source, checked 2026-09-01.
- uk control: No majority shareholding traced outside the UK; controlled by Mr Gareth James Irvine. Source, checked 2026-09-01.
We have only checked company registration so far. Evidence of UK employment or a UK site is the next thing we intend to gather, and until we have it we say so on every product rather than implying it.
