Trading as M. BILLINGHAM HOLDINGS LIMITED, registered at Companies House number 11976966.

What we have checked

Every brand here has to clear one test before it is listed at all: the company is a UK legal entity with real activity here. That is a question about the business, and it is deliberately not the same question as where any individual product is made.

• uk registered entity: Companies House record resolves, status active. Number published by the company at https://billingham.co.uk. Source, checked 2026-08-29.
• uk hq: Registered office is a UK address: City Estate, Cradley Heath, B64 7EP. This is the registered office, which is not necessarily where the company operates. Source, checked 2026-08-29.
• uk employment: Stated by the company: "By 1977, the growing demand for our bags allowed us to take a significant step. We rented a small, 500 square foot unit and hired our first sewing machinist." Source, checked 2026-08-31.
• uk control: No majority shareholding traced outside the UK (75%+ held within the UK across 3 holders). Source, checked 2026-09-01.
• uk site: Stated by the company: "In 1973, the Billingham story began. Ros and I started our journey from our own home, transforming a spare bedroom into a makeshift workshop. A large table became our cutting surface, where canvas was meticulously shaped with scissors, and leather was carved with a knife. Another room housed our solitary sewing machine." Source, checked 2026-09-01.

We have only checked company registration so far. Evidence of UK employment or a UK site is the next thing we intend to gather, and until we have it we say so on every product rather than implying it.
